The standalone version of Ampknob includes a built-in recording functionality making it easy always to stay creative.

How to RECORD YOUR RIFFS

Open one of the BDH standalone application, and click the 'REC' icon on the bottom right of the window to start recording.
You will see it will start to flash. Press it again to stop recording, you will see it will stop flashing.

Shortcut: Press the "r" key once on your keyboard to start and press it again to stop recording.

NAMING YOUR RIFF

After you finish recording, it's time to name your riff. By default, it will be named by date and time, but you can name it whatever you want.

review YOUR ideas

Once you press the SAVE button you will see that the folder icon in the bottom right will flash, click it and the Riffs folder will open in the files browser.

SAVE YOUR RIFFS TO A CUSTOM PATH

Your riffs will get saved into 'Documents/Bogren Digital/_RIff ideas'. If you want to change this, you can do it from within the Preferences menu.

By default, your riffs will get saved in .WAV file, but you can choose to save them as an .OGG files. These take less space on your drive and can be opened in most DAWs or audio players such as VLC.
